Trees for Cities is a UK charity dedicated to improving urban lives through tree planting. Their ‘Forgotten places’ programme targets coastal areas suffering from severe social and economic deprivation to introduce vital green infrastructure.
Following early success, the charity needed to scale to the UK’s coastal towns. The challenge was building a targeted communications engine to engage communities, local councils, and businesses, driving them to commit, amplify, and invest.
Simple human truth
People are at the heart of communities and communities are the catalyst for change.
The targeted rollout exceeded client expectations. By providing a platform to engage communities, the campaign helped mobilise over 10,000 annual volunteers, driving the planting of over 100,000 trees last year.
